Love your enemies but kill my enemies!
Luke 6:27 is a high-sounding passage which is said to set apart Jesus from most other religious leaders. Says Jesus here: “And now I say to you who are listening to me, Love your enemies.” But the same Jesus says just the contrary at Luke 19:27: “Now bring me the enemies who didn’t want me to be their king. Kill them while I watch.”
A person who wants his own enemies to be unerringly killed has no right to ask others to love their enemies.
Such counsel constitutes rebellion on the part of its pronouncer.
